Architecture of Textiles and Fashion Team
The Architecture of Textiles and Fashion Team conducts research and didactics in the fields of textile, fashion and textile product design, as well as theory and design practice referring to technology, ergonomics, material science, construction and spatial modelling, and the history of art and design.

Textile Technology and Construction Team
The Textile Technology and Construction Team deals with the basic problems of weaving, fabrics and braided products. In addition to optimizing the structure and technology of textiles, the team conducts research and development work in the field of textile structures intended for reinforcing composites and special applications. The team provides technological consultancy and support to the industry through opinions and expertise.

Clothing and Textronics Team
The scope of scientific interests of the employees of the Division of Clothing and Textronic:
- physical and biophysical properties of clothing (modelling of microclimate under clothing packages, objectification of susceptibility to textile confectioning, etc.).
- basics of garment design engineering (activities to improve the design process, construction of catalogues of nodes and functional groups of garments)
- unconventional clothing structures due to functional and confectioning features
- analysis of operating conditions of clothing machines (modelling of technological efficiency in the chain of operation, optimization of parameters of the bonding process, study of working conditions of sewing threads in the stitch formation zone of sewing machines, etc.).
- analysis and design of industrial garment manufacturing processes
- basic problems of general and technical metrology
- instrumentation of measurements; construction of unique electronic measurement equipment
- information systems including both control and measurement systems, including virtual instruments of the fourth generation
- textronics as a synergistic combination of textile technology with advanced electronic systems and informatics, using elements of metrology and automation
- identification of textile and clothing objects using advanced microprocessor-based measurement techniques
- modelling of objects and their computer simulation studies verified by experiments conducted for cognition and control purposes
- methodology of experimental research, especially planning of experiments and computer analysis of measurement results
