Characteristics of creativity
When working, concept is very important to me. My works are characterized by a synthesis of thoughts, symmetry, sparse colors, minimalism and geometry. When creating, I analyze the concept I want to talk about. I break them down into their first parts and give them a graphic form. I turn fragmented aspects of a given concept into geometric symbols, creating maps of the topics I discuss. Shaping the form of an image is a path, a set of symbols and text. Paintings are a story, illustrated with a thought process, which determines their form.
In my works, lines and geometric forms have hidden meanings, they are synonymous with veiled content. My paintings feature words written by hand or from a stencil, always in English, which, in my opinion, is the Esperanto of today's times.
An analytical approach to the topics I undertake accompanies me not only in painting, but also in my site-specific works, graphic designs and installations.
2018 Doctor of Fine Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, 2003 Master of Fine Arts, Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź.
