Born in Łańcut. In 1992 she graduated from the Technical School of Textiles and Clothing with honors. She completed her studies at the Faculty of Textiles of the Lodz University of Technology in 1997, in the first year of the Textile Architecture specialization, with a nomination for the best diploma thesis at Lodz University of Technology. In 1996, she began doctoral studies at the Lodz University of Technology. She completed and defended her doctorate in 2006 with honors, obtaining the title of doctor of technical sciences in the field of textiles. She started working at the Department of Textile Architecture in 2000 as an assistant, and from 2006 as an assistant professor at the Institute of Textile Architecture. Since 2009, alongside Prof. Andrzej Nawrot, participated in the creation of the IAT TUL's Clothing Studio. Currently, she is in charge of the subjects of construction and modeling, visualization and photography of clothes for students of Design, specialization in Fashion Architecture. From 2017 author and head of postgraduate studies in Clothing Design at the Lodz University of Technology. In the years 2020-2022, project manager "Model of cooperation between vocational schools and universities in the field of education in the profession of tailor", ICC Certified Coach. Spin-off CEO.
A wide range of scientific and artistic interests include issues related to:
- digital image analysis of the structure of textiles,
- innovations in medicine,
- creative design process using DT methods,
- designing clothes and textiles, their construction and implementation,
- photography, weaving and artistic wickerwork.
She is the author and reviewer of scientific publications, conference papers, international and national monographs. She completed two-month internships abroad at Ghent University in Belgium and Delft in the Netherlands. Many times a member of the organizing committees of scientific conferences and the author of the graphic design of many international scientific conferences. Academic reviewer at the Central Examination Board in Warsaw. Organizer and juror of numerous competitions, fashion shows and workshops. Education, interests and passion allow for multifaceted creative solutions to design problems. In her didactic work with students of Design, she tries to awaken their imagination, creativity and abstract thinking as well as the ability to implement original projects without limits. It inspires unconventional methods of combining various fields with textiles. Students have won distinctions and awards at numerous national and international competitions. She is the supervisor of over 190 theses. Scientific, artistic and organizational activities have been awarded many times.
