Magdalena Tokarska, Ph.D., D.Sc.

I received an M.Sc. degree from Lodz University of Technology, Faculty of Technical Physics, Information Technology, and Applied Mathematics, Lodz, Poland, in 1998 and a Ph.D. degree from Lodz University of Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Marketing of Textiles, Lodz, Poland, in 2006 and D.Sc. degree from Lodz University of Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Marketing of Textiles, Lodz, Poland, in 2015.
I'm currently a researcher with Lodz University of Technology, Department of Architecture of Textiles. My scientific activity covers the discipline of materials engineering. I deal with experimental research and modeling of electrically conductive properties of textiles. My area of interest also includes textile composites for protection against hot factors. Moreover, my research activities are focused on measurement techniques, design of an experiment, basic problems of metrology, uncertainty analysis, Monte Carlo method.
I have participated in over 10 national and international research projects. I received medals at international exhibitions of inventions, diplomas for scientific, didactic and scientific activities, and awards as part of supporting the scientific excellence of the Lodz University of Technology.

I'm a member of the European Committee for Standardization CEN/TC 248/WG 31 Textiles and textile products – Smart textiles and CEN/TC 162/WG 2 Protective clothing including hand and arm protection and lifejackets - Resistance to heat and fire of protective clothing. I'm a vice-editor of Autex Research Journal.
