Andrzej Foder, Ph.D.

Doctor of Arts, graduate of the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Since 1991 he has been working as a fashion designer. He cooperated with many Polish clothing companies, such as: Artyon, Moda Polska, Beata, Pabia, Pilica, Kama International. Chief designer in the following companies: Próchnik, Wólczanka, Modesta, PAWO. Author of the Wólczanka shirt line: LAMBERT, AWANGARD, LETTFIELD.
In 2008, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Men's Fashion magazine, he was recognized as one of the four designers of the decade 1998-2008, having the greatest influence on shaping the clothing of Polish men.
In 2011, Fashion Magazine placed him on the list of 50 people with the greatest influence on fashion in Poland. In 2012, he was awarded the Honorary Golden Thread at the twentieth, jubilee edition of this competition.
Juror in the following competitions: Złota Nitka 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016, Fashion Designer Awards 2009-2018. Member of the Program Board of Designer Avenue – Fashion Week Poland Fashionphilosophy.
Academic teacher. In the years 2007-2018, a lecturer in fashion design and director at the International School of Costume and Fashion Design in Warsaw.

Since 2020, academic teacher in fashion design at the Faculty of Material Technologies and Textile Design at the Lodz University of Technology.
In 2021, he was nominated for the title of Teacher of the Year of the Faculty. Supervisor of the SKN Designer student research group.  Since 2021, Plenipotentiary for Gender Equality at the Faculty.
