Born in 1985, I am a designer and technologist of jacquard and printed fabrics for the home and fashion industries. My industrial fabric designs and printed fabric patterns have been featured in numerous collections for domestic brands. Active design work with the industry allows me to continually deepen my knowledge of leading design and technological trends.
In my design work, I combine a holistic approach to fabric design, from plastic pattern, weave, and structure to the operation of looms and industrial programs. In 2024, Design Alive magazine recognized me as a designer in its article "Gallery of Polish Designers." The Adam Mickiewicz Institute has published my profile on the culture.pl portal (https://culture.pl/pl/tworca/tomasz-drozdz 2022).
I defended my doctoral dissertation on "jacquard" entitled "Modifications of the Pattern Report Based on Changes in Weaves, Thread Count, and Raw Material Type. A Set of Jacquard Fabrics" at the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź (2019). I graduated with a degree in Textile Design from the Faculty of Material Technologies and Textile Design at the Lodz University of Technology, specializing in Textile Architecture (2009 MA, 2009 BA). I also completed postgraduate studies in Textile Analysis and Documentation at the same university.
